So what is an intake manifold, its the part that let air get into the motor. Position on the cold side of the engine
(the drivers side). It gets the cold air coming from the intercooler and transfers it to the head of the motor so that it can do what a motor does. Combust. What's so special about the intake manifold if its just transitioning air, well if it restricts air from entering the engine in any way you can be limiting the motor by starving it of air.
