The Stage 3 Detroit 12.7 Cylinder Head uses Grey Iron casting.  providing excellent strength and resistance to heat and cracking. This is an upgrade to the stage one as it has Inconel exhaust valves. 

This Stage 3 has a Fire-Ring On every Cylinder, To provide extra clamping Power on the Head Gasket, to prevent it from moving

This is the ideal option for heavily modified Detroit 12.7, the Inconel exhaust valves, are more resistant to heat, helping lower the chance of dropping a valve. And the Fire ring Help keep the head gasket from blowing at high temperatures and pressures.
