OptiTorque performance head stud kit for Caterpillar C15 and 3406E engines. Made from Patriot 8740 alloy steel with 180–220 KSI tensile strength for maximum clamping force in high-horsepower and heavy-duty applications.
Benefits of using heads studs on your CAT rebuild is unlike Head Bolts they are reusable, if you ever need to replace the head or head gasket in the future, you will be able to use the same studs, as they don't stretch like bolts.
Also will allow you to safely put more Horsepower without the worry of blowing a head gasket as the stronger clamping force of the studs, bolds tight under high pressures.
